Brett is an actor and vocalist. His work in performing arts spans 30 years and multiple disciplines, including turns as writer, director, designer, and technician.

He has performed in NYC at HERE Arts Center and La MaMa e.t.c., regionally at Cleveland Public Theatre, The Kimmel Center in Philadelphia, Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans, Intersection for the Arts in San Francisco, and internationally in Denmark, Canada, and Mexico. He is currently a company artist with North American Cultural Laboratory.

Brett received an Independence Foundation Fellowship in the Arts (2010) and served as Artist in Residence at the American Philosophical Society Museum in Philadelphia (2006-09). He holds a BA in Folklore from the University of Pennsylvania.
